On Tuesday (2), the initiative was taken to stand by the farmers under the leadership of Newaz, General Secretary of Laxmipur Government University College.
In Ward No. 02 North Banchanagar, Mr. Md. Maksud Mitar cut paddy on 20 percent of the land and then cut the paddy.
More and more leaders and activists were present.
Mr. Md. Maksudur Rahman, the owner of the land, said that it was not possible for him to hire a day laborer and harvest crops due to the Kalbaisakhi storm, so he was at the Government University College.
When the leader said to Sevab Neoz, he brought half a hundred leaders and activists and cut the crop.
Asad Mita of the same area said, Md. Maksud Mita was a very poor man if he did not cut the paddy of Chhatra League, there was a fear that all the paddy of Md. Maksud would be destroyed.
College Chhatra League leader Ahmed Shakib Munna said, every year on the invitation of the Central Chhatra League, the paddy harvesting festival will be held in this year as well, inshallah we will try to stand by the farmers every year.
Laxmipur Government University College General Secretary Sevab Newaz said, Chhatra League is a friend of common people, any problem of common people. If you want help from all sides, Chhatra League will stand here, we will stay here until we take paddy from the college Chhatra League.
