A madrasa student named Muhammad Miraj Hossain (16) died in Kamalnagar, Laxmipur, and the accident took place at No. 5 in the area of Charlerance Uniton in the upazila on Wednesday (May 23).
The deceased Miraz is the son of Md. Hasan of the north-west Charlerance area of the same unit, he is a ninth grade student of Farasganj Fatzam Alim Madrasa.
Locals said that Miraj was ironing Punjabi in the mutajin room of the mukbul Ahmed Jame Masjid in the area, he was touched by the electric wire, which killed him on the spot.
