The upazila administration distributed a check of fifty thousand rupees to the family of the dead fisherman who went fishing in the river in Lakshmipur Kamalnagar.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kamruzzaman handed over the check of Deota grant from the Ministry of Fisheries and Animal Resources to the family of the deceased on July 5 (Tuesday).
Kamalnagar Upazila Fisheries Officer Abdul Quddus, Upazila Social Service Officer Masud Alam, Saheber Hat Uniton Parishad Chairman Master Abul Khater, Kamalnagar Press Club Vice President Fatz Mahmud, Journalist Amjad Hossain Amu, Abdul Al Mamun and others were also present.
On behalf of the family of the deceased, Bibi Halima, wife of deceased Nizam Uddin and mother of missing Noor Uddin and Nizam Uddin's college student Sala Uddin were present on behalf of the deceased's family.
Esmut Bibi Halima said, it is very difficult for my husband to pay the debts left by my husband. We have benefited a lot from providing financial support to my family.
It is noted that before Kamalnagar Meghna, a boat sinking incident occurred at around 3 am on November 6, after the body of Baba Nuruzzaman was recovered.
