A man named Md Humaun Kabir (53) has been sentenced to 14 years rigorous imprisonment for keeping 5,000 illegal fake money in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur.
On Monday (May 30) at around 11 am, District and Datra Judge Court Judge Mohammad Rahibul Islam presented the Rat and the accused was present in the same court as the Rata Declaration.
District Judge's Court's Government Counsel (PP) Advocate Jasim Uddin confirmed the poison of Rata.
The convicted accused Humaun Kabir is the son of Bhuttu Mistry Bair Chaitd Ahmed of Charkadira village of Charkadira Unit No. 6 of Charkadira Unit of Kamalnagar Upazila of Laxmipur District.
According to court sources, around 11 pm on July 14, 2021, at around 11 pm, Humaun went to buy medicine at Hawladar Medical Hall in Fajumirhat Bazar, Kamalnagar, and went to buy medicine for 1000 rupees. When the shopkeeper suspected that he was suspicious, he asked to change the note. Later, Humaun gave him another fake note of money.
The next day, Deputy Inspector of Police, Amir Hossain Badi, filed a case of Kamalnagar Thana and sent him to jail through the court. In September 2021, Mala Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector Md. Jahangir Alam filed a final report against him in the court.
The court sentenced the accused Humatu to 14 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of five thousand taka for the crime of keeping illegal fake money in his custody under the Special Powers Act of 1974.
