Former General Secretary of Islamic University (EB) Teachers Association Professor Dr. The students of the Department of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies of the university have staged a massive blockade demanding the trial of the attacker of Mostafizur Rahman.
On Thursday (June 08) around 9 am, the students protested by besieging the main gate of the university under the banner of the department, which was blocked by the road.
After half an hour of the movement, Assistant Proctor Professor Dr. Shafiqul Islam and Assistant Professor Shariful Islam Jewell along with proctorial body members arrived at the spot and later came out of the movement with the assurance of the proctorial body around 10 am.
Students in the movement, ‘Why is my sir injured? The administration wants justice’, my sir's insult, I will not accept it’, ‘Hai Hai Rai Rai, Sohail Tui Geli Kai’, ‘Demand Moder Ektai, Sohail's Bicher Chai’.
The students said that our life teacher was attacked. The attacker was identified. The attacker was identified even after 24 hours of the attack, but the attacker has not been arrested so far. We are demanding that the attacker be arrested within the next 24 hours and brought to the law quickly. Since the attacker is the official of the Agrani Bank, he will not be punished.
Assistant Proctor Professor Dr. Shafiqul Islam said, "There was an unwanted incident in Kushtita yesterday. The students have started a movement to protest the incident. Their demands are logical. I have asked them to file a written complaint. We will try to solve the matter through systematic system."
It should be noted that yesterday morning the former general secretary of the teachers' association, Professor Dr. When Mostafizur Rahman went out for a walk, Kushtitar Housing d Block area was attacked by his neighboring bank officer Sohel Mahmud. In view of this, he gave three separate written complaints to the University Proctor, Teachers' Association and Registrar Barbara at around 10 pm that day.
