Laxmipur new superintendent of police. AHM Kamruzzaman said, ‘Journalists are the mirror of society. Journalists are contributing to creating a beautiful society by playing an important role in preventing any crime in the prevention of various poisons in the society. They are working as a support force of the police by creating a bridge between the people and the police.’
The police superintendent said, ‘The district police will work from zero tolerance to fight drugs, terrorism, militancy and extortion. No matter how many powerful criminals are, regardless of party affiliation, they will be brought under the law. If the policemen are also involved, strict measures will be taken including filing a case against the people. The police will ensure the safety of the people's lives and property.’
On Tuesday (July 30) morning, the Superintendent of Police said these things in a meeting with local journalists at the office of the Superintendent of Police.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Antar Hossain moderated the speech of Press Club President Kamal Uddin Howladar, General Secretary Saidul Islam Pabel and other working journalists.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Superintendent of Police (Ramgati Circle) Marupa Nazneen, DI O'tan Iqbal Hossain, DB OC Moktar Hossain, Sadar Police Station OC Azizur Rahman Mita and more than half a hundred local journalists.
