Eid has been spent in Kamalnagar due to the erosion of Meghna

The Eid-ul-Fitr-Art of Laxmipur's Kamalnagar Upazila is a fear of the Eid of thousands of families in the Meghna river coast.
Local residents know that such a situation has arisen in the face of erosion after several collapses in the arch protection dam.
The victims say that when the monsoon season comes, the erosion is terrifying. The water of the rain and the water of the forest will be broken. The day before Eid, the water of the water in the river continues to flow.
Abul Khar, chairman of Saheberhat Union Parishad, said, "Most parts of my union have been lost in the river. That's why many families have taken shelter next to the embankment and others have taken shelter in the fear of erosion. They did not have a good last Eid either.
The locals complained that the dam was repeatedly destroyed in the dam. The second level did not start and after the collapse of the dam, the dam did not take the initiative and now one kilometer of the dam was now on the way to disappear. That is why the joy of Eid was not among the locals; there was no joy and extreme disappointment.
In the Char Phalkan of Kamalnagar, Saheberhat, Patatorirhat, Char Kalkini, there has been a severe erosion on the banks of the Meghna River in Char Kalkini Uniit. There has been vegetative erosion in different parts of the Matabbarhat Bank Raksha Dam.
If the erosion cannot be prevented, the entire dam will be destroyed, local residents fear that once it is broken, Kamalnagar will be unprotected.
Meanwhile, various organizations have held programs like human chain, Prime Minister's memorandum and blockade to take effective steps to prevent river erosion.
Mohammad Musa, executive engineer of the local Laxmipur Water Development Board, said that the river bank protection dam has been damaged by the cyclone and the initiative will be taken to prevent collapse and erosion.
Meanwhile, recently the Minister of State for Water Resources Colonel (Retd.) Zahid Farooq visited the Meghna river erosion affected area of Laxmipur in the area of the river, which he said, said that Kamalnagar will not be allowed to be broken, it will be saved from the erosion.
Member of Parliament (MP) Major (retd.) Abdul Mannan of Laxmipur-4 (Kamalnagar-Ramgatti) Constituency, Major (Retd.) Abdul Mannan said that the people of Kamalnagar and Ramgati have been helpless due to the continuous erosion of Meghna throughout the year.
