In the letter, Barrister Razzak said, “After 47 years of independence, the party leaders have not yet apologized for their role in 71. Even the party's position in the Great War of Independence has not been explained.”
He said, “It has become necessary to take a clear position with the nation's leaders at that time by admitting mistakes about the harmful role of Jamaat during the liberation war in 1971 compared to any time in the past.”
Apologize to the nation for the role of the liberation war and form a party under the new name and the proposal to become active in politics in the politics of Jamaat has recently come up in Jamaat-e-Islami. A part of the leadership of the party is in favor of such a proposal. This part is to keep the party active in the name of 1971 or to form a party in a new name.
