Bakshiganj representative!!
The upazila administration has arrested a young man named Shanto Mita (21) with drugs in Bakshiganj of Jamalpur. After that he was sentenced to 6 months without labor and fined 100 taka by mobile court.
On Thursday (October 29) around 11 am, this anti-narcotics operation was conducted in Kamalerbatti area of Sadhurpaja Unit of the upazila.
Convicted Shanto Mita Kamalerbatti is the son of Amjad Ali of the village.
According to the upazila administration sources, as part of the special operation, the operation of Kamalerbatti area was arrested and Shanto Mita was arrested in the hands of the mobile court judge and upazila executive officer (UNO) Murad Hossain immediately for 6 months without labor and fined 100 taka.
The local conscious community has applauded such a strict role of the administration against drugs.
In this regard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Murad Hossain said, "We have continued this zero tolerance policy to protect the youth from the drug corals. This kind of operation and strict legal activities will be conducted in the future to make Bakshiganj upazila completely drug free."
