Raatpur upazila of Laxmipur has distributed 8 varieties of winter vegetables, fertilizer and cash of Tk 1,000 among 4 thousand farmers.
Today, Tuesday, this fertilizer seed and money will be distributed among the farmers in the agriculture office in Ratpur Upazila Parishad premises.
In order to increase the production of crops in the current financial year, the distribution of mustard, wheat, lentil, maize, kesari, mung and winter papaz seeds and rasatanik fertilizers will be started among the small and marginal farmers.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Agriculture Officer Tahmina Khatun, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Imran Khan was present as the chief guest and distributed seeds and fertilizers.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahed Arman, Upazila Project Execution Officer, Upazila Youth Development Officer Panna Begum and others were also present in this meeting.
In the 2024-25 fiscal year of Rabi incentives in 10 units of Ratipur Upazila, 1 kg of mustard seeds, 10 kg of DAP and 10 kg MOP fertilizer will be distributed to each of the upazilas.
