37 lakh 58 thousand people have been affected by the cyclone and 14,900 houses have been partially damaged.
State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Mohibur Rahman came to know this information at the next press conference at the Secretariat on Monday (May 27).
He said, 914 unions and municipalities of 19 districts including Khulna, Satkhira and Patuikhali districts have been affected due to the cyclone remal. However, due to the government's preparations, there has been no loss of life.
The state minister said that 6 crore 85 lakh rupees have already been given to the victims for the cooperation of the victims. Out of which 15 gels are 3 crore 85 lakh cash, 5 thousand five hundred metric tons of rice and 5 thousand packets of dry food, 1 crore 50 lakh rupees have been given to the mobile accounts of the victims.
Mohibur Rahman also said that 9,424 shelters have been opened in the vulnerable areas, with these shelters or permanent education. 8 lakh people have taken shelter in the institution.
