The cyclone that hit the Bay of Bengal hit the coast of Bangladesh at 8 pm on Sunday, then from the coast to the entire country. Rain has started. Since Monday morning, rain has started in different areas of the capital Dhaka with gusty winds.
The meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik, a meteorologist at the Meteorological Department, said at around 8 am on Monday that the center of Cyclone Rimal has crossed the coast of Bangladesh, it is now in Khulna and Koira. It is still in a strong cyclone, but it will become a cyclone in two hours and then it will become a low pressure.
He added that it may take four to five hours for the impact of the cyclone to be completely over.
Meanwhile, due to the hostile weather, the coastal areas including Satkhira, Bagerhat, Bhola, Pattukhali have been hit by the unelectricity from Sunday afternoon and evening due to the adverse weather conditions. Four districts across the country have died.
At around 8 pm yesterday, the center of the cyclone started crossing the Khepupasa coast of West Bengal coast and Bangladesh in the south-west direction of the cyclone.
