In the 6th phase, the Kamalnagar upazila in the election of two upazila parishads in Laxmipur, the advisor of Islami Andolan Bangladesh and the current expelled Khaled Saifullah, was elected as the private result.
Khaled Saifullah was elected with 18,230 votes on the Kamalnagar upazila motorcycle symbol, while Babul Mia got 16,871 votes with his closest rival Cup Perich.
On Wednesday (May 8) the polling was held from 8 am to 4 pm. There were total 73 centers in Kamalnagar upazila and 70 centers in Ramgati.
The respective upazila election officers and assistant retendering officers made this announcement privately. The total number of voters in these two upazilas is 3 lakh 84 thousand 973. Men - 2 lakh 2 thousand 60 women - 1 lakh 82 thousand 9 hundred 12.
