The police have arrested Abdul Ahad (26), the former president of Kamalnagar Upazila Chhatra Shibir in Laxmipur, who is said to be an accused in 20 cases.
After his arrest on Friday night, he was sent to the Laxmipur court on Saturday afternoon, Kamalnagar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Akul Chandra Biswas said that 20 cases have been filed against him. He was arrested in a secret information operation.
Abdul Ahad is the son of Bashir Ahmed of Patirhat Union.
