Bengali New Year is celebrated in Lakshmipur in a festive atmosphere.
On this occasion (April 14) on Sunday morning, a colorful Mars procession from in front of Sadar Upazila Parishad The main city of the city is out on the outskirts of the city's main sacred schT.
In this, people from different classes of the district participated regardless of party affiliation, and after the procession, the 2-day long folk fair and a magnificent musical program were inaugurated by the District Commissioner Sura Jahan in the collectorate premises.
Among others, Superintendent of Police Superintendent Bin Rashid, Member of Parliament of Laxmipur-3 Constituency and President of District Awami League Golam Farooq Pinku, Laxmipur-2 and General Secretary Noor Uddin Chowdhury Naon and others were present.
Earlier, they wished the people of the district Bengali New Year, and later the district administration was served with various traditional Bengali food items and panta-fish bhaja among all present.
