The Great Independence Day was celebrated in the Islamic University (EB) through colorful arrangements in the 54th year of independence. On the occasion of the day, the program was held in the festival of the balloon, the inauguration of the programme, the procession, the tribute, the observance of silence and prayers and prayers.
Today Tuesday (March 26) in the morning at 9 o'clock in the administration building premises, the national flag along with the guard of honor was hoisted by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam and the university flag hoisted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman was present at the meeting, Treasurer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain Bhui and acting registrar HM Ali Hasan, the provosts hoisted the flag at their respective halls, and then the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the day-long program in balloons.
After hoisting the flag, the procession led by the Vice-Chancellor from the administration building premises to the Shaheed Memorial was held at the procession of the faculties, departments, halls, all walks of life, teachers, officials, employees and students, various associations, councils, forums, EB Laboratory School and College, various student organizations and social and cultural organizations participated.
At the memorial, the VC paid tribute to the brave martyrs of the Great Liberation War. The VC paid tributes on behalf of the University Teachers' Association, Bangabandhu Parishad, Gita Parishad, Officer-Employee Association, various departments, residential halls, student union, university branch Chhatra League, Press Club, Journalist Association and other political and social organizations.
At the end of the tribute to the brave martyrs in the liberation war, one minute of silence was observed and the prayers of their souls were prayed for.
