Laxmipur district administration has inaugurated the modern kitchen market of the municipality, on Sunday (February 4) morning, Deputy Commissioner Begum Suraita Jahan cut the ribbon next to the city's chalk market and inaugurated the market.
In the opening ceremony, Municipal Memorandum Mozammel Hadar Masum Bhui was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Meher Nigar, Deputy Director of Local Government Sajita Parveen, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman AKM Salah Uddin Tipu, Upazila Executive Officer Arifur Rahman, Chamber of Commerce President Shankar Majumdar and other businessmen.
It is known that this two-storied district administration-municipal modern kitchen market has been built in the city's Chalk Bazar at a cost of Tk 1 crore 19 lakh.
