Police have arrested 3 youths named Shubo Islam Rifat (19), Murad Hossain (28) and Md Hasan Sagar (19) on the charge of rape and video recording in Rakhtpur, Lakshmipur. They were sent from the police station to the court on Monday (January 15). In the evening, they were arrested from Sonapur area of the upazila.
Earlier, Ragpur Thana filed a case against 3 youths arrested and their family members on the charge of raping and videoing a madrasa student.
The father of the 10th class student said that the accused youths are addicted to the school.
Ratpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Isachin Farooq Majumdar said, ‘After the father of the injured student filed a case in plaintiff, the accused 3 youths have been arrested and sent to court. The efforts to arrest the other accused are continuing.’
