Education of Khulna University established in 1991 at Gallamari, one of the main slaughterhouses of the Great Liberation War, was established in 1991. It has completed 33 years of the program. The government decision regarding the establishment of Khulna University has been published in the form of gazette on January 4, 1987, after a long movement and struggle, the entire people of the south-western region have been involved in the history of establishment of Khulna University.
Then on March 9, 1989, the foundation stone of Khulna University was officially laid in the National Parliament in July 1990, the Khulna University Act-1990 was passed in the National Parliament, which was published in the form of a gazette that year on 31 July. Then 80 students were admitted in 4 disciplines in 1990-91 academic year.
