According to upazila administration sources, 5 acres of government Jatga has been enjoying illegal occupation by local people for a long time in Charpata village of Charpata Unit. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Anjan Das joined Assistant Commissioner (Land) Russell Iqbal and cleared the Jatga illegal occupation by joining last year. Later, the upazila administration took the initiative to build a park for children there. This park under construction next to Rachpur-Chandpur Regional Mahasak has been named Upazila Administration Shishu Park. The bench has been set up and the 100 percent work in the park has already been completed.
Pradeep Ragha, president of the national children's youth organization Sabuj Sena Ghelaghar Asar, said, "We have been demanding for the construction of parks for children for a long time. The administration's initiative to create a livable world for my children is desirable.
Journalist Sanskritjan Shankar Majumdar expressed his gratitude to the upazila executive sitting and said that special attention should be paid to the children's free access to the park at a nominal price.
10 local residents including local Sharif Hossain, Fakrul Alam, Kaushar said that there was no provision for children to entertain children in Rakhpur. If this children's park is built, the children's entertainment will be arranged.
Locals UP Chairman Rashid Mamun said, "There is no good entertainment for children and teenagers in Rakhtpur, I am happy to know that a children's park is being built in our Unit after a long time. I myself have been cooperating with some of the work of Git Park in the joy of building the park.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Russell Iqbal said, there is no recreation center for children in Rathpur. For many years, Jatgati was in the possession of various people. Later, the operation was conducted and the initiative was to build a park.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Anjan Das said, for the time being, some sports materials are being installed. More sports items will be installed here. There are several small rides for children to be installed in this park. As a result, it will help the physical and mental development of the children. We have kept the work of the visitors outside and inside the park to provide more facilities to the visitors.
