In the proposed budget of the fiscal year 2023-24, the per capita target of the people of the country has been set at 12 thousand 500 US dollars.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal expressed optimism on the budget proposal today Thursday (June 1).
‘Our per capita A’ per capita in our 'smart Bangladesh' will be at least 12,500 US dollars, less than 3 percent of people below the poverty line and extreme poverty will fall to zero.
The finance minister said that everyone's services will be reached, the services of the citizens including self-containment system, sustainable urban and all the services of citizens will be at hand. Paperless and cashless societies will be created.
Earlier, in the budget of the 2022-23 fiscal year, the per capita target of the people of the country was 3,77 US dollars, and the target per capita in the new fiscal year was more than three times that.
It should be noted that the budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 will be passed on June 26. Before that, the financial bill for the fiscal year 25 will be passed on June 25. The budget will be effective from July 1.
