His nearest rival Aomi League nominated candidate Shafiqul Islam (boat symbol) got 5,463 votes. Another independent candidate Sirajul Islam (Pineapple Prateek) got 778 votes.
Confirming the vote information, Returning Officer and Durgapur Upazila Election Officer Tapan Chandra Sheel said that the name of the biz will be announced after completing all the processes.
