On the first day of the World Ijtema of the Tabligh Jamaat on the banks of the Turag River in Tongir, millions of worshipers prayed for the welfare of the nation and the Muslim Ummah during Friday prayers.
On Friday (January 20) prayers started around 1:35 PM, Maulana Yusuf bin Saad Kandhalvi, son of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi, led the prayer.
The worshipers started visiting the country's largest congregation since night to perform Juma Ada. Those who could not come last night came to Turag shore since morning.
