Under the initiative of Hirapur Abdur Rashid Foundation (Arfa) of Bhatra Unit of Ramganj Upazila of Laxmipur, winter clothes blankets have been distributed among the poor and low-lying people.
On January 19, Thursday afternoon, this winter clothes were distributed at the proposed Technical College ground of Bhatra Union of the upazila.
Ramganj Upazila Executive Officer Umme Habiba Meera was present as the chief guest in the distribution ceremony under the chairmanship of Helal Hossain, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and President of Abdur Rashid Foundation and the general secretary of Upazila Aomi League Taslim Hossain Patawari.
Ramganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Emdadul Haque, Upazila Sambath Officer Anonor Hossain, No. 10 Bhatra Union Parishad Chairman Sheikh Shamchul Alam Bulbul, prominent businessman and social worker Zakir Hossain, Ramganj Press Club President Sakhawat Hossain Jahangir, General Secretary Kaushar Hossain and others were present as special guests.
Helal Hossain, president of Esmut Abdur Rashid Foundation, said that every year on behalf of this foundation, the activities of this foundation are being conducted in Bhatra Unity.
