On Tuesday (July 5) afternoon, Barisal Range Police Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) SM Aktaruzzaman confirmed this information, but the department has also filed a case against the 14 policemen of Gournadi and Uzirpur police stations for negligence in the performance of night patrol duty.
14 policemen who were dismissed were sub-inspectors (SI) of Uzirpur police station. Gitaul Hadar, Constable Rabiul Islam, Sohail Rana and Imran Hossain and Deputy Inspector (SI) of Gournadi Police Station Chagir Hossain, Gaffar Hossain, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sohrab Hossain, Constable Kamal Hossain, Mehdi Hasan, Mursalin Mita, Amrit Lal, Natn Mita, Iqbal Hossain and Constable (Constable) Abdul Haque Rana.
According to sources, a motorcycle was stolen from the garage of the divisional headquarters of Barisal city on the morning of June 2.
In the footage of the closed circuit camera, an unidentified thief motorcycle was driving the Dhaka-Barisal Mahasak Hat Uzirpur and Gournadi thana.
Meanwhile, on July 3, the department has filed a case against 14 policemen of Uzirpur and Gournadi police stations, but the poison was known on Tuesday afternoon.
