5 dams of the Gha Gher net have been removed at different points of Bhubaneshwar branch river under the leadership of Charbhadrasan Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tanjila Kabir Trapa of Faridpur.
On Friday, he raided various parts of the river and removed the dams of bamboo and nets.
Upazila Fisheries Officer SM Mahmudul Hasan, Charbhadrasan Police Station Sub-Inspector Amio Majumdar, Office Assistant Babul Biswas, Fisheries Office Field Assistant Shamim Arfin and Police Constable were present in the operation.
The mother fish was being killed by trap netting by sweeping bamboo in the water and surrounded by nets in the river. The upazila executive officer and executive magistrate raided the river and removed the dam.
