The historic Mujib Nagar Day was celebrated in Kamalnagar, Laxmipur, and the historic Mujib Nagar Day was celebrated in the district of the upazila administration of Baribar (April 17) with the laying of wreaths and discussions on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
After placing wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a discussion meeting was held highlighting the significance of this day in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad.
Kamalnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kamruzzaman presided over the chairmanship of Kamalnagar Upazila Aomi League President AKM Nurul Amin Master, former freedom fighter commander Safiq Uddin, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Omar Farooq Sagar, Upazila Agriculture Worker Atiq Ahmed, Upazila Animal Supplier Dr. Aktaruzzaman, secondary education. Officer Touhidul Islam, Matsa Karmakta Abdul Qudduch, Ansar VDP worker Shahin Akhtar, brave freedom fighter Nurul Islam along with local freedom fighters and various employees of the upazila.
The speakers said that today is April 17. The historic Mujibnagar Day, the freedom struggle of Bangladesh and the history of the Great Liberation War is a unique one in the history of the liberation war in 1971. On this day, the first state government of independent Bangladesh was officially sworn in at Arkanan in Baidyanathtala village of Meherpur.
