A worker named Farooq Hossain was killed in the work of mahfil mic in Laxmipur's Ramganj, and the accident took place in front of Oli Bai of Hirapur village of Bhatra Unit of upazila around 3 pm.
The deceased Farooq is the son of Haji Bair Solaiman Hossain of Shairshai village of No.2 No.2 No.2, and a worker of Mike Serbis, a worker of Shairshai Bazar, SI Abu Taher of Ramganj police station visited the spot.
Locals know that Hirapur has been working on the annual Oli Bai Annual Otaz and Dota Mahfil on Sunday, March 6. Since morning, Farooq was working with his brother and his brother for the mahfil.
He was suddenly hit by a lightning wire around 3 pm and he died on the spot.
The poison was confirmed by Ramganj police station Emdadul Haque, who said police had been sent to the spot.
