The police have recovered the slit body of the accused in several cases including murder and rape in the name of Ruhul Sardar (40) in Daulatpur of Kushtia.
On Tuesday (February 22), his body was recovered from the 500 bigha field behind the PSS Secondary School of Charsadipur village of Ward No. 3 of Philipnagar Union of the upazila.
The deceased Ruhul Sardar is the son of Muntaj Sardar of Charsadipur village of Upazila and a local Awami League worker.
According to the police and local sources, on Tuesday afternoon, locals could see Ruhul's dead body in a 500 bigha field behind PSS Secondary School in Charsadipur village.
Later, when the poison became known, Daulatpur police went to the spot. The police are preparing to recover the body and send it to the morgue, locals have said that there is blood and various wounds of the body near Ruhul's body.
Initially, it is believed that Ruhul was killed due to the dispute, and he was involved in various terrorist activities including drug and arms dealers.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police Station S.M. Jabid Hasan said that several cases including rape have been filed against the deceased Ruhul.
It is being investigated who killed him by slitting his throat.
No one will be exempted from the criminals, and the area has been deployed with additional police.
The incident has not been detained so far, the body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to the Kustita General Hospital morgue for mortem.
