In Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur, Boro paddy planting program has been inaugurated through machine in Samala method. Laxmipur District Commissioner Md. Annoor Hoshain Akand inaugurated the program at Char Lorenche Block of Upazila at 11 am on Saturday.
Kamalnagar Upazila Agriculture Extension Directorate Ajan Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kamruzzaman was present in the chairmanship of District Agriculture Extension Department Deputy Director Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Upazila Parishad Chairman Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Pudam Pusp Chakma, Upazila Agriculture Worker Atiq Ahmed, Char Larencha Unitary Council Checherman AKM Nurul Amin Master, Upazila Parishad Vice-Chancellor Omar.
Kamalnagar Upazila Agriculture Worker Md. Atiq Ahmed said that agricultural land is decreasing with the increase in population. In the financial year 2021-2022, Boro paddy is being cultivated in 50 acres of land in the same way. Farmers are encouraged by the planting method.
