The court sentenced two accused to life imprisonment and one accused to life imprisonment for killing a young man named Shahidul Islam (21) on the basis of trivial matters in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtitar.
On 18 January, the Judge Md Tajul Islam of the Additional District and Sessions Judge Court of Kustitar gave the verdict.
The accused who was sentenced to life imprisonment is Salam Molla, who is the son of deceased Muncher Molla of Kalikattala area of Kumarkhali upazila, the life-dead persons are Saiful Islam, son of Amir Hamza of Kumarkhali upazila and Rashid Haru, son of Haruna of Kalikattala area, and the accused were present in the court after the announcement of Ragha.
According to the court, Shahidul Islam went missing on the night of May 23, 2009. Later on May 28, around 6 am, a family member identified a dobat in Kalitala area and the family members recovered his body. Later, the police of Kumarkhali police station, the father of the deceased Shahidul Islam, filed a case against 5 people.
After the investigation of the case, he filed an investigation report against the accused in the court on June 16, 2011. After the evidence, he fixed the date of the declaration of the Rat on 18th January, and after the evidence of the witness, the court gave the verdict on Tuesday.
PP Ed: Anup Kumar Nandi said, the court sentenced the two accused to life imprisonment and one person to life imprisonment after being found guilty in the murder case.
