A massive clash took place between BNP-Aomi League leaders and workers in Sirajganj over the obstruction of the procession. At least 25 people were injured in the three-hour clash, police fired hundreds of rounds of gas and rubber bullets in the situation.
On Thursday (November 30) around 1:30 pm, the clash started at the College Road area of Sirajganj Municipal area and continued till four o'clock.
The district BNP called for a rally to demand the release of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Gita and better treatment abroad. On the way to the rally on Thursday (November 30), the college road area was blocked by a procession.
At one point, the clash was at least 25 people were injured in the clash between the two sides in the clash.
Sirajganj Sadar police station officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam said that the situation is currently under control and additional police are being disposed in the city.
