The 1007 Union Parishad polls will be held on November 28. After the approval of the Election Commission meeting on Thursday, the EC Secretary announced the schedule of the polls. Humatun Kabir Khondkar.
Earlier in the morning, the commission meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda.
According to the announced schedule, the last date of submission of nomination papers for the post of CHETERMAN, general member and reserved woman member to the Returning Officer is November 4. Selection of nomination papers is November 4 and the last date for withdrawal is November 11. Voting will be held on November 28.
The EC Secretary said that the 10 municipalities will vote on the same day on November 28. In that case, the final date for submission, selection, withdrawal of nomination papers is same.
In response to a question, the EC said, “I have fixed the poll date based on the public examination-SSC and HSC schedule. I think there will be no problem in that case.”
Most of the polling educational institutions are used as centers, and many teachers are also in the position of voting.
The first phase will be the vote of UP on 21 June 204 and 160 UP on 20 September. The second phase will be the 848 UP polling on November 11. The third phase will hold thousands of UP votes.
The EC has come to know that the polls of 4,000 UPs in the country will be completed by December.
EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath, NID DG AKM Humautun Kabir, Joint Secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan and Public Relations Director SM Asaduzzaman were present in the press briefing at the midata center of the election building.
