The Election Commission (EC) has announced the schedule for the 3rd phase of the 10th Union Parishad (UP) elections.
According to the announced schedule, elections will be held in 1,700 UPs across the country on November 28.
EC Secretary Humautun Kabir announced the schedule after the commission meeting on Thursday afternoon. On this day, the 87th meeting of the commission was held in the hall of the election building under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda.
After the meeting, EC Secretary Humaun Kabir said, as per the announced schedule, November 2 is the last day to submit the nomination papers. The nomination papers will be verified on November 4, the last day for withdrawal is November 11. And the election will be held on November 28.
In the first phase, the EC has voted in 369 UP. In the second phase, 848 UP will be held on November 11. This time, more than 1,000 UP will be held in the third phase.
