Kamalnagar: Martyr Intellectual Day discussion meeting was held at Kamalnagar in Lakshmipur.
On Monday (December 14) morning, the discussion meeting was presided over by the upazila executive officer at URC building in Hajihat of the upazila. Kamruzzaman was held.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi, Special Guest, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Pudam Pusp Chakma, Thana-received officer, Md. Nurul Abshar, Upazila Vice Chairman Omar Farooq Sagar, Female Vice Chairman Roksana Akhtar Ruxi, War casualty and brave freedom fighter former commander Md. Abu Taher, brave freedom fighter former commander Safiq Uddin, journalist and war casualty freedom fighter Abdur Razzak, Fisheries officer Md. Aktaruzzaman, freedom fighter Nurul Islam and other government officials and employees.
Upazila Executive Officer. Kamruzzaman said, "Today is a black chapter in the history of the world for the Bengali nation. This killing was carried out on the orders of the then Pakistani ruler, as if in the country after independence. This is done by identifying the intellectual counselors, so the Martyr Intellectuals Killing Day is being celebrated today on December 14.
