Recommended punishment for the fuel donors for breaking the sculpture of Bangabandhu

cover ;; The Parliamentary Committee has recommended to bring the punishment of those who fueled the destruction of Bangabandhu's sculpture.

This recommendation was made in the 16th meeting of the Standing Committee on the Liberation War Affairs of the 11th National Parliament on Sunday (December 6).

The meeting was held at the Parliament building under the chairmanship of the committee president Shajahan Khan.

Committee members were attended by Ministers AKM Mozammel Haque, AB Tajul Islam, Kazi Feroz Rashid, Oaresat Hossain Belal and Moshalem Uddin Ahmad in the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.

In the meeting, the activities of the committee formed by convening the Minister of Liberation War to settle the cases filed against the property of the welfare trust, the recommendations of the first meeting of the sub-committee No. 6 and the progress of the construction of the Independence Pillar at Suhrawardy Udyan will be discussed.

The meeting called the opposition to the construction of Bangabandhu's sculpture as purposeful. The committee strongly condemned the demolition of the Bangabandhu sculpture under construction in various Oz and Kushti, against the construction of the sculpture of Bangabandhu. It is recommended to bring the punishment of those whose fuel and hands are behind the incident.

It is recommended to scrutinize the naming process of schools, colleges, roads, bridges and culverts in the name of freedom fighters as well as the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs along with the National Freedom Fighters Council.
