A total of 500 packets of dry food and 15 tons of rice have been distributed in 9 units including rice, dal, cheese, salt, oil and 90 units in Kamalnagar upazila of Laxmipur.
On Friday (May 22) afternoon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Mubarak Hossain visited the destroyed houses in Char Falkan and Saheberhat Unit and the houses destroyed by the cyclone and distributed the humanitarian support of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina among the affected families.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Mejbah Uddin Ahmed Bappi, Vice Chairman Omar Farooq Sagar, Char Falcon UP Chairman Haji Harun Or Rashid, Chairman Abul Khatter and others were present.
