A youth party leader named Billal Hossain Misri (45) has died in the incident of beating in Rakhtpur town of Laxmipur over a trivial incident.
The incident took place on Thursday (March 5) in front of the sub-registrar mosque near the sub-registrar mosque near the Rachapur-Laxmipur regional Mahasak in the city on Thursday (March 5) at noon. The deceased Billal Hossain was the son of No. 3 and the President of the 3rd Youth Party of the 6th Ward Youth Party of the upazila of Misri Upazila. He was also known as a local businessman.
According to eyewitnesses and family sources, when Billal went to that place to buy Egyptian watermelon, there was a fight and fight between two rickshaw pullers.
This Samat Billal Misri and another person named Kabir Mahuri tried to stop them, which accused rickshaw puller Rahman (35) got angry and killed Billal, who was seriously injured.
It is said that Kabir Mahuri was also injured in this incident.
The victim's relative Annotar Tipu alleged that the accused Rahman Billal was beaten in the eyes, face and chest and went to the scene and demanded a fair trial.
The victim's sister Bilkis Akhter said that her brother was talking about chest pain and breathing problems since the beating, the family has been disoriented.
Accused Rahman's father Shah Alam said he did not know anything about the incident but if his son committed a crime, he should be prosecuted according to the law.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ratpur Police Station Shaheen Mita said that the body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy. Attempts are being made to arrest the person involved in the incident and preparations are being made for the murder case.
After the incident, there was anger among the local BNP and Jubo Dal leaders and activists for some syllables and the area was under fire for some of the police.
