Bakshiganj Representative:
Hundreds of BNP leaders and workers have officially joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Bakshiganj of Jamalpur.
They were welcomed through a ceremony organized at Bakshiganj Upazila Jamaat office on Friday afternoon and the local leaders of Jamaat formally welcomed the newcomers with rosin gandha flowers.
Advocate Maulana Nazmul Haque Saeedi, the candidate of the 11-party-backed alliance of Jamalpur-1 constituency, said on the occasion, he said, "People are now turning to moral politics, this joining will accelerate our organizational strength in Bakshiganj."
Among others, Jamalpur-1 Constituency Chief Election Agent Advocate Ilyas Hossain, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Maulana Adel Ibn Awal (Arman), Upazila NCP convener Mosaddekur Rahman Manik and Amir of Municipal Jamaat Maulana Abdul Matin also spoke.
Among those who joined the Jamaat are Meruchar Union BNP Deputy General Secretary Masud Rana, Bagarchar Union BNP Organizing Secretary Mojibur Rahman, Office Secretary Munhar Ali, Battajor Union BNP Former General Secretary Salamat Ullah, Bagarchar Union Ward BNP President Hamidur Rahman and Meerurchar Union Ward BNP former General Secretary Azabul Islam, Meruchar Union BNP former Deputy General Secretary Masud Rana.
Some of the leaders who joined said - We have joined Jamaat-e-Islami after long thoughts and we feel that this party is playing a proper role in the welfare of the country and society through Islamic ideals and moral politics, and we are united from that goal.
Amir Maulana Abdul Matin of Bakshiganj Municipal Jamaat said that the trend of people from various professions including the young generation is more than ever to join the Jamaat, he expressed hope that it will strengthen their organizational activities in the future.
