An unidentified (35) woman has died after being cut off in the Ratpura train of Narsingdi.
The body was recovered from the railway line of Sapmara area of Maheshpur Unit on the west side of Daulatkandi railway station of the upazila on Friday (February 18th February).
According to police and local sources, the locals found the body of an unidentified woman who was dismembered on the railway line at around 9 am, approximately 500 yards west of Daulatkandi railway station in Maheshpur Unit of the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Railway Police Ferdous Ahmed Biswas confirmed the recovery of the body.
Bhairab Railway Sub-Inspector (SI) Ali Akbar said, "Initially, it is believed that the woman died after being hit by a Dhaka-bound train in the morning. The pieces of the body were scattered up to a hundred yards at the scene." The body has been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for investigation and the police are working to recover the identity of the deceased.
