Two people were killed in two separate road accidents in Kushtia, a teenager riding a motorcycle riding trolley in Kushtia's Mirpur has been hit by a drum truck in Daulatpur.
The accident took place on Friday (Jan 21 January) around 7 am in the Hawtakhali field between Azmatpur and Lakshidhardita villages of Dhubail Union of Mirpur Upazila.
The deceased teenager's name is Sitam (17). He is the son of Dawood of Chak Dhubail village in the same area.
According to the local sources, there was a low tide going to the steering gait at the bakul of Satgachi village in the neighboring Satgachi village. On the way, the motorcycle rider hit the sieves and the motorist on the way.
Later, the local people rescued Sitam and sent him to Kushti Sadar Hospital, where he died on the way.
In this regard, Mirpur police station officer-in-charge Golam Mostafa confirmed the accident and the death.
Meanwhile, a motorcycle rider named Mohsin Hossain (35) was killed by a drum truck in Daulatpur.
The accident took place at a place called Allah Darga of Daulatpur-Vasamara at around 11 o'clock on Thursday (January 20).
The deceased Mohsin Hossain is the son of deceased Khatibur Rahman of Satbajita area of Vejamara upazila, he was a local worker.
According to the local sources, Mohsin Ali was returning from Daulatpur to Vehamara on a motorcycle after the duty of the factory at night. A drum truck coming from behind (Jesore-11-5478) was fatally injured when he was hit. Later, the locals rescued him and died on the way to Daulatpur Upazila Health Complex.
Daulatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Jabid Hasan confirmed this information and said that the police recovered the body of the deceased and sent it to Kushti General Hospital morgue for investigation.
