Two journalists were injured in the beating of the Chhatra League in the collection of information about the Ullapasata vote in Sirajganj.
The incident took place at Puthita Government Primary School polling station on Sunday (November 28) afternoon.
The injured journalists are - District representative of Daily Lakhokantha newspaper Salim Shikder and Ajker Darpan newspaper representative Sajjad Hossain. The injured have been admitted to Purnimaganti Hospital with 20 beds.

Masud Rana, a journalist of the eyewitness journalist Alokit Bangla newspaper, said, "We were going to the three journalists at the Puthita center to collect information. This was the case when a boat named Amjad Hossain was voted openly and I gave the poison to the patrolling police and presiding officer.
Later the presiding officer arrested the agent.
Later, he came to Berita from the center and attacked us under the leadership of Sobhan, the leader of the United Chhatra League.
The same was beaten by the locals and sent them to the hospital.
The police officer in charge of the center Sub-Inspector (SI) Aslam Uddin said that there was no beating inside the center, which may have been quite far from the center.

Injured journalist Salim Shikder said, Shobhan and his men beat us up by pulling us from the front of the police.
Abdul Malek, the presiding officer of that center, said that he did not know the poison of beating journalists.
