Elections will be held in the third phase across the country in the third phase of the country's 1,7 Union Parishad (UP) elections on November 28. On the occasion of this election, the Election Commission (EC) has banned the movement of motorcycles for 72 hours.
Since midnight on November 26, the movement of motorcycles in Laxmipur municipality area, Ratpur and Ramganj upazilas has been banned.
According to the notification, the ban will be in force from 12:00 PM on November 26 to 12:00 PM on November 29. EC Deputy Secretary Md. Atitar Rahman said, "We have already sent the relevant instructions. The District Commissioner will support the implementation of this directive. Not only motorcycles, but all mechanical vehicles will be closed from November 27 to November 28 at midnight.
This ban will not be applicable for those who are engaged in emergency service work including journalists, election officials and employees, law and order forces.
