A boat carrying passengers sank in Bagerhat's Mongla on Sunday morning (May 26) morning at the Mongla River Ghat, which sank due to the extra passengers being picked up. The drowning trawler had 50 to 60 passengers.
Some of the passengers are said to be missing, but many are missing, while the naval police, the Faller Service and Coast Guard divers are searching the river.
Confirming the matter, Mongla Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Nishat Tamanna said, "A boat has sunk due to the extra passengers lifting it. I heard that it had about 50 to 60 passengers in it. I have been keeping track of the trawler accident since the trawler accident."
The municipality's CCTV camera is being seen in the case of whether the passengers are missing and the naval police, the Fatur Service and the Coast Guard divers are searching the river.
