twelfth The Election Commission (EC) directed the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Public Administration to transfer all Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of all police stations to ensure the smooth completion of the National Assembly elections.
In light of that directive, the concerned authorities have recommended to the commission for the transfer of 47 UNO, which the Election Commission has approved.
EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath confirmed the poison on Monday.
He said, ’When the 47 UNO recommends the transfer of the UNO, the commission will approve it. 20 more have been sent. More than 250 UNOs will be transferred in total. About 320 OCs will be transferred."
On November 30, the two ministries were asked to send the proposal to transfer the instructions of the OCs of all police stations and all the UNOs. In this case, the OC of the police stations whose tenure has been six months and the UNOs whose tenure has been one year, were asked to send earlier.
