BNP has announced a 48-hour blockade across the country on Sunday and Monday (November 26 and 27), with a virtual press conference on Thursday (November 23), senior joint secretary general of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The two-day blockade of the BNP's sixth phase is ending early this morning, before the new siege has been announced.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the new blockade, the government's resignation, elections under a free government and cancellation of the announced election schedule will be observed from 6 am on Sunday morning from 6 am on Tuesday (November 26 and 27).
In his speech, Rizvi strongly criticized the government and said that the desecration of BNP, affiliated organizations and like-minded parties is being attacked indiscriminately. They are being arrested indiscriminately. Attempts are being made to arrest BNP leaders and activists, and this is how Udo Pindi is trying to be blamed on Budo's.
Rizvi said, joining the movement against this tyrannical government is now a citizen's primacy. People have joined the movement against the government. In the past history, it has been seen that there cannot be a tyrant, other person for long.
Rizvi said, in the last 24 hours, 410 leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations have been arrested from different parts of the country. 17 people were injured in the attack and he demanded the release of these leaders and activists.
It should be noted that the party has been holding continuous programs since the attack of the Chief Justice's residence with the police and the clash of BNP leaders and activists from the BNP's mass meeting on October 28. Earlier, BNP and like-minded political parties held a six-point blockade and two-time hartal programs.
In protest against not being able to hold a general meeting on October 28, the morning-evening hartal on October 29, blockade from October 31 to November 2, blockade from November 5 to November 7, 6 am on November 7, 3rd phase on November 8 and 9, fourth clause 12 and 13 November, fifth phase 15 and 16 November and sixth clause 22 and 23 November.
