The project titled ’Shilling Bicycle to School Girls' in Kishori Karina' - The Directorate of Women's Poisons will initially distribute bicycles among 16,000 schoolgirls across the country.

The project evaluation committee meeting has already been held in the Planning Commission on the proposed project on April 2. Director General of the Directorate of Women's Affairs Keta Khan has already known that the project will start in July this year and will continue till December 2026.
The other objectives that are behind the implementation of the project to make it safe and easy for poor and talented students to go to school are - through this, preventing child marriage through support to ensure the education programme, uninterrupted education by preventing school going girls from dropping out. Continuing activities, building a leadership spirit by increasing the confidence and capacity of school going girls.
It is learned that government schools will be given priority in distribution of bicycles, while the beneficiaries will be selected based on the merit, poverty and other relevant variables of the students.
In order to determine the beneficiaries of the project, the list of female students will be prepared following the specific format or criteria. For this, the beneficiary selection committee will include the officer nominated by the concerned upazila executive officer, the OC of the concerned police station instead of the local police station and the concerned UP chairman and the municipality in the case of the union.
The project is initially 48 upazilas of eight divisions of the country, 6th class students will get bicycles. Initially, Rajbai, Khagschi, Sunamganj, Jamalpur, Chapainawabganj, Kunjagram, Jhenaidah will get a bicycle. The Barguna Bicycle will be given, if it is successful, the project will be implemented across the country later, the Directorate of Women's Bishops said.
Incidentally, the bicycle distribution project is new to eliminate the problem of school students. The government of India has launched a project called ‘Sabuj Sathi’ in 2015 to eliminate the problem of school students' movement. So far, the government has distributed bicycles to 8.5 million students in an annually of Tk 2700 crore.
