Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has directed the Superintendent of Police of the border districts to be vigilant due to the India-Pakistan war situation.
He said these things in response to questions from journalists at an event organized at the Bangladesh Supreme Court Federation on Wednesday (May 7) afternoon.
The IGP said that the police superintendents of the border districts have been warned so that no militant or terrorist can enter the country due to the India-Pakistan war.
At this time, the president of Bangladesh Police Club and Additional IGP of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI). Mustafa Kamal and other officials were present.
Meanwhile, both countries have expressed deep concern over the India-Pakistan situation Dhaka has called for a calm, restrained, and Bangladesh has called for refrain from taking any action that could worsen the situation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release that the Bangladesh government is closely monitoring the growing situation in India and Pakistan. The tension has been called for a mitigation of tensions, and the Dhaka expressed hope that peace will be maintained for the welfare of the people of the region.
