Former Communications Minister Said Abul Hossain died of a heart attack (Inna Lillahi…Rajiun). His urge was 72 years.
He died in a hospital in the capital on Wednesday (October 25) morning.
Said Abul Hossain was born in Madaripur in 1951. He is a politician and businessman. Abul Hossain won the fifth national parliament election in 1991 from Madaripur-3 seat for Bangladesh Awami League. He was elected Member of Parliament and then served as Member of Parliament in the Seventh, 8th and 9th Parliament Elections, and from 2009 to 2012, he served as the Minister of Communications in the Awatami League government.
On April 28, 2011, the government signed a $1.2 billion deal with the World Bank for the construction of the Padma Bridge, but at the end of the year, the then Communications Minister Abul Hassen was accused of corruption. The situation was so muddy that the situation was so confusing that on January 5, 2012, Said Abul Hossain resigned as Minister of Communications.
