Journalists working in the district have formed human chains and gatherings to demand the arrest and trial of the murdered journalist Borhan Uddin Muzakki who was shot while performing his professional duties in Companyganj of No.
Journalists formed an hour-long human chain in front of the Noshakhali Press Club from 12 noon on Sunday, with journalists' demands in the human chain and representatives of various professions including lawyers, human rights activists, and professional workers expressed solidarity.
Journalist Bakhtitar Shikdar, Alamgir Yusuf, Abu Nacher Manju, Jamal Hossain Bishad, Futad Hossain, Suman Bhowmik, Mahbubur Rahman, Akash Md. Jasim, Mawla Sujan, District Lawyers Association General Secretary Ad, Gulzar Ahmed Justel, Advisory Organization NRDS Chief Executive Abdul Authal spoke in this protest rally.
The speakers have given an ultimatum to the administration to arrest Muzakkir's killers within the next 24 hours, and threatened to announce a larger movement program if the administration fails.

The deceased Borhan Uddin Muzakki was a representative of the daily Bangladesh Samachar and online portal Barta Bazar, the son of Notab Ali Master of Charafkira Unityan of the upazila, Mujakir recently completed his Masters in Political Science from Notakhali Government College and joined journalism.
